Baby Cocoon

Yes, I finished my baby cocoon!  And honestly once I got going to didn't take long at all (I even did it with the kids awake - that says something).  I thought it was a perfect pattern for a newbie pattern reader - I looked up a couple of things, but that was due to my own lack of crochet knowledge.  Inner Hooker sent me the pattern to try out - you can purchase it HERE

So I know about a dozen expecting mommys, but no little newborns, yet...  So I'll just have to wait a week or two to get my hands on a little baby.  Because really, that baby doll isn't doing my picture any favors. (Has anyone else noticed that dolls photo really wierd?  it's the eyes!  See, here's another time I tried pictures of dolls -just wierd)

Also, I am really loving the photo pendant of my kids.  I feel like it goes with anything and love to wear it.  MY MOM/GRANDMA CAN STOP READING NOW...
I am making several more for the kids' grandmas for Mother's Day - I figure even if they're not pendant necklace people, it can be used on a keychain or a dangle bookmark or zipperpull on a purse - lots of options.  If you're trying to shrink a picture and can't get it to work, email me the picture and I'll do it for you (unless thousands email me!  that might be overwhelming!).  Did you see that CANDY TILES is offering 10% off to all SugarBee Craft Edition readers - just enter "SugarBeez" in the message area when you check out.  Here's the LINK to the set of 20 - all you need to make 20 necklaces, including the chains.

Oh, and I just bought a bunch of fabric from FabricCloset - I loved my scrap packs the most - it was fun to get some fabrics that I didn't pick out (but should have!) - if you want in on the deals you'd better order before noon Monday.  Pictured is my pile of goodies.  Now, on to sewing.....
